Borland InterBase / Firebird (MSDASQL)

For InterBase or Firebird databases, specify the server name or IP address and the port required for the database connection, then select the database and driver. You can add a username/password combination or use Windows authentication.

To save reports to a Borland InterBase database, install the InterBase Client and ODBC driver on all networked computers. For Firebird databases, install the Firebird Client and ODBC driver. Easysoft ODBC drivers for InterBase and Firebird can be purchased at Easysoft.

Oracle (MSDAORA)

For Oracle databases, specify the server name or IP address and the port required for the database connection, then select the database. Add a username/password combination or use Windows authentication.

To insert reports into an Oracle database, install the Oracle Client on all networked computers. This client can be found on the Oracle installation CD.

PostgreSQL (MSDASQL)

For PostgreSQL databases, specify the server name or IP address and the port required for the database connection, then select the database and driver. Add a username/password combination or use Windows authentication.

When using PostgreSQL, install PsqlODBC on all networked computers. PsqlODBC can be downloaded from pgfoundry.

Sybase (SybaseASEOLEDBProvider)

For Sybase databases, provide the server name or IP address and select the database. You can enter a username and password, or use Windows authentication.

To generate reports in a Sybase database, install the Sybase ASE ODBC driver on all networked computers using the installation CD.

ODBC (MSDASQL)

For other databases listed in the provider list with an available ODBC driver, you can use that database as well.
