Kernel Driver Update in AIDA64 v7.60

Posted | February 17, 2025

As part of our ongoing commitment to security and performance, we have worked closely with Microsoft to enhance the AIDA64 kernel driver. These improvements ensure better protection, stability, and compatibility for all users.

With the release of AIDA64 v7.60, we are introducing an updated kernel driver that includes all necessary refinements. This new driver is fully compatible with all AIDA64 versions since v6.75, making it easy to integrate into your existing setup.

To ensure that all users benefit from these improvements, the previous version of the driver will be phased out after March 31, 2025. We recommend updating to AIDA64 v7.60 or manually applying the new driver before this date to maintain optimal functionality.

How to Update

There are two ways to apply these improvements:

1. Update to AIDA64 v7.60 (Recommended)

The best way to get the latest security and performance enhancements is to update to AIDA64 v7.60. This ensures your system is always running the most up-to-date and optimized version of AIDA64.

  • Download AIDA64 v7.60 now

2. Manually Update the Kernel Driver

If you prefer to continue using your current AIDA64 version (v6.75 or newer), you can easily update the kernel driver by following these steps:

  1. Close AIDA64 completely.
  2. Download the updated kernel driver and extract the ZIP file into your AIDA64 installation folder, replacing the existing file (kerneld.x64).
  3. Restart your computer to complete the update.

Why Update?

  • Security Enhancements – Implements Microsoft-recommended improvements for a safer experience.
  • Better Performance – Optimized for stability and efficiency.
  • Fully Compatible – Works seamlessly with all AIDA64 versions since v6.75.

We encourage all users to update at their earliest convenience. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our support team.
