AIDA64 v5.00 is released

Monitor your PC using your smartphone or tablet

Posted | December 9, 2014

“AIDA64 v5.00 now offers an unrivaled variety of tools for monitoring the health status of PCs. The new RemoteSensor works as a web server to let users monitor the utilization and the sensors of their computer using a web browser, either within or outside the local network”, explains Tamás Miklós, managing director of FinalWire. “On the other hand, the ability to automatically inventory system certificates is a huge help for business customers concerned about security.”

For more than a year, the AIDA64 product family has included three business editions and a home edition. The company's flagship offering is AIDA64 Business, which had been enhanced to offer hardware monitoring and diagnostic functionality, while a new, dedicated network inventory solution called AIDA64 Network Audit is also available, for a lower license fee. Designed for corporate engineers and IT technicians, AIDA64 Engineer now comes with new expert tools not available in AIDA64 Extreme, the home edition of the software. Today all four AIDA64 editions are updated to v5.00.

Simultaneously with the new release, FinalWire has revamped the global AIDA64 website available at www.aida64.com. The new, easy to navigate AIDA64 site has a clean, modern design and is accessible on multiple platforms.

Smartphone and Tablet LCD Integration

The existing LCD module has been extended to support wireless remote monitoring of sensor values on smartphones and tablets via two new interfaces: RemoteSensor and Logitech Arx Control. CPU and memory utilization, network traffic, temperatures, voltages, fan speeds, and power draw measurement can now all be monitored on mobile device LCD screens, inside a WiFi network or even over the internet. Logitech Arx Control supports Android and iOS devices; while the new web server based RemoteSensor supports virtually any mobile devices, including but not limited to Amazon, Android, BlackBerry OS, Chrome OS, Firefox OS, iOS, MeeGo, Windows Phone, and Windows RT.
